I lived at Sandstone Creek for about 1.5 years. I had a very positive experience at these Apartments Review. The office staff ... is always extremely helpful and friendly. They communicate well with the community via email and Facebook. The maintenance staff is usually quick to respond, We had one issue with a clothes dryer that took a few times to remedy but they didn't stop until we were satisfied. The community itself is beautifully maintained with constant landscaping maintenance and a lovely pool area in the summer. Seriously one of the nicest apartment pools I've been to. Our apartment was very spacious, We choose to go with one of the few un-updated models to save money and it was still perfect and truly felt like home. **Edited to update: The management staff was on top of the issue and we haven't seen a single bug since. They did offer to ... work with us in letting us out of our lease or moving us into a different apartment, but neither of us could get the days off work to move again, so we stuck it out.** I hate to do this, but I feel it is pertinent. We searched high and low for the perfect apartment. One that was clean, nice, in the right area, worth what they're charging in rent, and had zero reviews about bug issues. We read every single review to make sure that Sandstone didn't have a bug problem (since we'd almost chosen a place and then discovered they had had several reviews regarding bugs). We wanted this to be our last home before we bought a house, but the very first day that we moved in (before moving anything but a brand new bookcase from Ikea to paint before moving the rest of our things days later) we discovered at least 2 dead cockroaches. We called them and they came out and sprayed. Up until tonight we have seen about 1 per day (alive) that we've lived here. They have been out to spray on 3-4 separate occasions. We did not "bring them with us" as we have never had any kind of bugs before in any of the places we have rented. I have begged them to be sure they are spraying all of the Apartments Review in this building, but they won't give me any solid information about whether this is being done or not. I am a germaphobe and this is causing me a lot of anxiety. Please be aware of this issue before you decide to move your family here. Today the dryer vents were professionally cleaned properly! I would say that the location is great Close to shopping, Grocery Stores, and fun family activities. The pool area is also ... very nice. On the downside we have had an A LOT of awful experience with maintenance issues over the pat almost 3 years. Some of our issues still haven't been resolved because we were tired of trying to contact them. The interior of the units are OK, but could also use updating. I know the apartment complex is 15ish years old and the appliances are definitely that old. Flooring is also not that great. The gym is also not in that great of shape and the machines are also broken. There's also never any sanitizing spray or paper towels . The outward appearance is of luxury apartments. The finishings inside and out of the apartment are nice but leave a little ... to be desired. They have spruced up the outside with painting and landscaping but the inside still has some updating needed. The staff is friendly and helpful but sometimes it takes maintenance a little too long to address needs. There has been high turnover in maintenance staff as well. Overall a nice community. They really need to get rid of the speed bumps or make them more of a speed hump. It's terrible on the suspension of your vehicle. Damage to the units, however, are cosmetically covered over rather than repaired or replaced. They place a conspicuous piece of paper at your door if your rent is late (even if it because they lose your check), making it known that if rent is not paid in full in a week from the due date, you must vacate the unit or be evicted. Either the entry or exit gates are left open frequently. While the apartments are not terrible, they are definitely over-priced. I have no real complaints. Sure parking is in short supply but as long as no one complains about curb parking, there is ... no issue. Yes I can hear my neighbor but only the one upstairs. And that is because he drops weights on the floor. Literally - I can tell what they are from the noise.
